Electrical Project Engineer
Location: South East England (covering Southern Water, South East Water and parts of the Thames Water region)
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Car Allowance/Vehicle + Benefits
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a growing engineering business delivering critical infrastructure projects across the UK water sector.
Operating across Southern Water, South East Water and parts of the Thames Water region, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of electrical and MEICA projects from design and procurement through to installation, commissioning and handover.
This position offers the chance to work on a variety of projects involving treatment works, pumping stations, power distribution, control systems and process infrastructure, supporting major AMP8 investment programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the electrical elements of water and wastewater projects.
Coordinate design, procurement, installation and commissioning activities.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal delivery teams.
Review and approve technical documentation and specifications.
Support site teams during installation and commissioning phases.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and quality requirements.
Requirements
HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Previous experience delivering electrical or MEICA projects within the water, utilities, industrial or infrastructure sectors.
Knowledge of LV electrical systems, MCCs, control panels, instrumentation and automation.
Strong understanding of project delivery and engineering processes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
Experience working on water or wastewater treatment facilities.
Knowledge of NEC contracts.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
IOSH, SMSTS or equivalent health and safety qualifications.
