Join Our Team as a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber!

We have an exciting opportunity for an NMP or Pharmacist Prescriber to join our integrated community drug and alcohol service for a 12-month maternity cover. This is your chance to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to empowering change!
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber, you will:
* Engage in opiate substitute treatment (OST) interventions.
* Support benzodiazepine reductions and alcohol/opiate detoxifications.
* Administer detoxification medications and provide health care assessments.
* Conduct Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screenings and vaccinations.
* Collaborate closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services.
* Participate in local prescribers meetings and one-on-one clinical supervision.
You'll have the opportunity to shape service delivery and contribute to clinically excellent services, all while receiving full training and support from our Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Lead.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
* Be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or be a qualified Pharmacist with independent prescriber status.
* Have confidence in managing all aspects of prescribing for opiates and alcohol detoxifications.
* Be an excellent communicator, highly organized, and capable of developing creative, flexible support packages tailored to individual needs.
* Possess a genuine passion for helping people, along with a deep level of empathy, understanding, and patience.
Working Conditions
You'll be joining an established team in Wiltshire, working in a busy prescribing service under the guidance of experienced professionals. Interviews will be held on Thursday, 2nd October at our Trowbridge office - Rothermere House, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, BA14 8JQ (please note, there is no on-site parking).
