About the Role:
As a Category Manager, you'll manage the procurement and contract negotiation for goods and services, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. You'll develop category strategies that maximize value, support sustainable procurement, and manage key supplier relationships. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical skills, and a strong commercial focus to deliver cost benefits and drive improvements.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Developing and implementing procurement strategies and tender programs.
* Ensuring compliance with GTR Procurement Policy and UCR2016.
* Driving commercial value and supporting GTR's Safety, Sustainability, and CSR commitments.
* Building effective supplier relationships and undertaking market research to meet business needs.
Who We're Looking For:
* MCIPS qualified (or working towards it) with at least five years of strategic procurement experience.
* Proven track record of delivering cost benefits and innovative solutions.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Experience with tendering under UCR 2016 and managing large, complex tenders.
