Churston Ferrers Grammar School are seeking to appoint dedicated and friendly cleaning staff for 20 hours per week, to join our after-school cleaning team who will show initiative and hard-work within their designated areas to ensure high standards of cleaning are upheld at all times.
Working hours are usually 3pm - 7pm, Monday to Thursday, 2.30pm - 6.30pm, Friday.

The Role
Reporting to: Maintenance Caretaker
Key Responsibilities
1. To be responsible for ensuring your area is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation throughout the day.
2. To maintain a visible presence and patrol your area, which will assist in ensuring misuse of the area.
3. To carry out a daily cleaning routine which will include the following:
4. Clean corridors and classrooms as they are available
5. Replenish toilet rolls, hand towels and soap
6. Empty internal waste bins
7. Pick up litter in your area
8. Be available to deal with spillages
9. Identify minor damage and report to the Senior Maintenance Person by completing a Repairs and Maintenance Form
10. Assist caretakers in setting up furniture for productions as and when required
11. Assist with covering other cleaning areas for absent staff wherever possible
Job Type: Part-time, permanent contract
* 20 hours per week/42 weeks per year
* 39 weeks term time plus 1 week in the Easter Holidays and 2 weeks in the Summer Holidays
Scale 1 Point 9 pro-rata (actual salary £11697)
