About Our Client
Darwen Vale High School (DVHS) is an 11-18 academy, with a newly evolving sixth form, in collaboration with the two other Aldridge Education schools in the town: DACA and DAES. The school’s students come from Darwen, Blackburn, and surrounding areas, with approximately 30% qualifying for free school meals.
DVHS opened in September 2012 in redesigned and refurbished buildings, growing from 150 to 240 students across year groups. It has seen rapid improvements, with significant gains in student achievement, leading to being oversubscribed for several years.
Following a recent Ofsted inspection, Darwen Vale received a ‘Good’ rating across all areas. The school's motto reflects the community’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
