BMC Recruitment Group is currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to join a prestigious client in the engineering consultancy sector, based in Edinburgh.

Duties/Responsibilities:
* Manage UK-based projects in accordance with UK Building Regulations and relevant standards across various sectors, including industrial, residential, retail, commercial, and healthcare
* Lead and liaise with other design team members to achieve coordinated design solutions that meet client objectives
* Conduct structural engineering assessments and inspections of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
* Perform analysis and design using software packages such as Tekla Structural Designer and Tedds
* Ensure the quality and consistency of technical outputs, including drawings and reports
* Prepare high-quality technical reports, including structural surveys
* Maintain attention to detail and manage multiple projects of varying sizes
* Promote the company at external networking and social events
About You:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Chartered or near Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE)
* Varied experience in all common forms of construction and building types
* Excellent report writing, communication, and numerical skills
* Previous experience in a UK consultancy
* Full clean driving license
* Strong desire and ambition to promote the company from within
