We are seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Engineer to join our customer’s dynamic Facilities & Maintenance team at the Advanced Propulsion Research Laboratory (APRL), located at the University of Warwick in Coventry. To learn more about the lab, visit www.aprl.co.uk Key Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve reactive equipment breakdowns, implementing long-term solutions. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on test equipment and facility systems. Support a wide range of test technologies including: Engine and vehicle dynamometers HVAC systems Fluid and gas conditioning systems Safety-critical monitoring systems Power distribution infrastructure Collaborate with the team to ensure safe and efficient operations aligned with SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People) and environmental standards. Record and analyse fault data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement. What You’ll Need Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an Engine or Vehicle Test environment. Strong practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. Ability to troubleshoot and implement permanent corrective actions. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Willingness to support improvement projects and adapt to business needs. Flexibility to work on a rotational shift pattern. Qualifications Minimum: Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline Preferred: Level 4–5 qualification or equivalent experience Interested?
