We're looking for a Creative Social Media Video Editor who doesn't just "cut clips" but knows how to craft stories that make people stop scrolling and start watching. This isn't a mechanical editing role—it's about shaping raw content into compelling, platform-ready narratives that drive attention, retention, and growth.

This is an in-office role only. The right candidate will insist on being embedded in the creative team, surrounded by producers, sourcing staff, and journalists, because true storytelling thrives on collaboration— not isolation.
What You'll Do
* Craft mid to long-form social videos (3min+) that deliver narrative arcs viewers can't look away from.
* Build stories that maximize viewer retention, watch time, and shareability.
* Design hooks and thumbnails that boost CTR and stop the scroll.
* Take ownership of the narrative: identify gaps in footage, request missing elements, and guide sourcing to strengthen storytelling.
* Collaborate daily with producers, journalists, and creatives to deliver on-brand content that performs.
* Use audience insights and analytics to refine edits and push creative boundaries.
* Stay ahead of platform trends across YouTube, Snapchat, Meta and more, adapting techniques while keeping a distinct editorial voice.
What We're Looking For
* Proven track record of editing long-form and social-first content (YouTube, Snapchat Discover, TikTok, Instagram). Show us your examples.
* Strong understanding of narrative flow, pacing, and emotional engagement.
* Deep insight into what drives watch time, CTR, subscriber growth, and retention.
* Skilled in Premiere Pro (After Effects or motion graphics a plus).
* A creative eye that can turn raw footage into cinematic, emotional, or entertaining stories.
* Proactive: not just executing edits but shaping what the story needs.
* Comfortable working independently while thriving in a highly collaborative, in-person environment.
* Bonus: experience with sound design, motion graphics, and thumbnail creation.
