Overview
Salary: £35,561 - £38,444 per annum. Blackwood are looking for a Housing Officer to join our Housing Services Team supporting operations across our East Region. Reporting to a Team Leader, each of our Housing Teams are responsible for supporting our customers to live independently through high levels of engagement, support and a quality housing and customer service experience that reflects the needs of our individual customers.

Responsibilities
Here’s where the Housing Officer role fits into the team and what the successful postholder will bring to Blackwood’s East Housing service:
* An experienced housing professional who is committed to working in a customer-centred service and able to develop strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external partners to maintain high standards.
* Knowledge of a cross-section of housing-related services including allocations and managing empty properties. Lead on tenancy and estate management, with knowledge and experience of estate management functions and services including contract management, inspections, and appropriate handling of anti-social behaviour and complaints.
* A CIH Level 3 qualification or above, or currently working towards this qualification, is essential.
* Work as part of the East housing team (covering from the Scottish Borders to Perth) to contribute to performance standards and targets. Demonstrate priority management, responsiveness to varying workloads and deadlines, and the ability to act as a decision-maker delivering customer-centred solutions to operational challenges.
* Support the delivery of Blackwood’s Customer Engagement Plan through the established tenant scrutiny panel, tackling isolation, promoting neighbourhood inclusion and embracing innovation through CleverCogs™ and the Blackwood House design. See the job pack for further details about plans.
