Pharmacy Assistant
The Priory Hospital, Birmingham, part of Circle Health Group.
Work hours: 30 hours per week, permanent part‑time role.
Salary: £25,000 per year (FTE), depending on level of experience, training, and qualification.
Duties
* Assist in the preparation and labelling of medicines for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge prescriptions under appropriate supervision.
* Support the safe supply of medicines, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and distribution to wards and departments.
* Monitor stock levels and expiry dates, helping maintain accurate inventory across the pharmacy and clinical areas.
* Receive and check deliveries, ensuring correct storage of medications in line with temperature and security guidelines.
* Assist with the completion of relevant records, prescription tracking, and data entry on pharmacy systems.
* Maintain accurate filing and organisation of documentation related to medicine supply and patient care.
Qualifications
* Good general education including literacy and numeracy skills.
* Experience in a customer service, healthcare, or stock‑handling role.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under supervision.
