We are seeking an Employment Liaison Officer to support those affected by the Tata Transition.
The Employment and Skills Fund helps participants across Wales to reskill, upskill, and secure new employment opportunities.
Within this role, you will liaise with Employers, Colleagues, Training Providers, Employability Partners, and Participants to source and match training and employment opportunities. You will monitor and report on expenditure related to participant training and handle queries from employers, training providers, and colleagues.
Main duties include:
1. Developing effective relationships with local employers, SMEs, training providers, social enterprises, and third sector organizations to secure employment opportunities and promote employment for Tata employees or supply chain workers affected by the transition.
2. Developing and delivering participant-centered training and employment plans to support access to skills development and employment, leading to sustainable employment outcomes.
3. Assisting in the implementation of the Employment Support Team goals and targets, ensuring quality standards and KPIs are met and monitored.
Experience required:
* Working with individuals facing redundancy or who have been made redundant.
* Liaising with SMEs and third sector organizations.
* Experience with recruitment procedures and practices across sectors.
* Identifying training needs, creating tailored training plans, and coordinating with training providers and participants.
Ideally, you will:
* Be educated to Level 4 standard and have substantial experience working with employers.
