As thepany continues to grow, the finance team is expanding, creating an opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to take ownership of this key function. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract, based in the Inverness office.
Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the end-to-end payroll process for both weekly and monthly paid employees. You will manage all aspects of the payroll cycle, ensuring that timesheets, hours and overtime information are accurately uploaded, checked and processed. The role involves navigating a degree ofplexity around variable hours and overtime, and you will ensure all data is validated and reconciled before payslips are issued. You will act as a main point of contact for payroll enquiries across the business, providing clear and timely support to colleagues. Alongside your payroll responsibilities, you will contribute to the wider finance function by assisting with sales ledger duties and offering general support during busy periods, allowing you to broaden your experience within the finance team.
What you'll need to succeed
You will bring experience of processing payroll from start to finish, with confidence in handling both weekly and monthly cycles and working with timesheets, overtime and variable pay. Strong attention to detail, accuracy and goodmunication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage deadlines and respond to queries professionally. A willingness to support wider finance duties will also help you succeed in this varied and collaborative environment. You'll be based in the Inverness office full-time and have the ability to work well with the wider team.
