Offer description

Ready to take ownership of the factory process side of NPD and play a key role in getting new multi-component products successfully to launch?
This newly created NPD Process Technologist role offers a brilliant opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment where you’ll lead trials, validations, and process delivery from concept through to factory sign-off. If you enjoy being hands-on on site, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring products are commercially viable and technically robust — this could be the perfect next step.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Managing the day-to-day delivery of NPD and EPD projects through the gated development process from concept to launch
• Leading pre-trial meetings, coordinating factory trials, and ensuring accurate data capture and reporting
• Taking ownership of product validation activities, supporting successful scale-up and launch readiness
• Ensuring production processes deliver the required margin, quality, and customer expectations
• Controlling validation costs and producing monthly reports to track spend and performance
• Supporting critical path planning across multiple customer accounts, prioritising key deadlines effectively
• Leading customer-facing activity including factory sign-offs, pre-production approvals, and presentations
• Collaborating with technical, operations, and wider NPD teams to ensure products are safe, feasible, and manufacturable
• Driving continuous improvement in trial execution, documentation, and launch processes
• Presenting clear facts, findings, and recommendations confidently to both internal and external stakeholders

What’s required?

• Degree in Food Science or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
• Experience supporting production trials, process validation, or factory-based NPD delivery
• Strong understanding of critical path management and launch governance
• Confident working in a customer-facing environment, including presentations and factory sign-off activity
• Commercial awareness and ability to ensure process decisions align with margin and operational targets
• Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills
• Self-motivated, naturally inquisitive, and driven to seek out continuous improvement
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider cross-functional team
• Experience within multi-component or added-value food manufacturing environments is highly beneficial

What’s in it for you?

A high-impact, newly created role where you can take real ownership of process-led NPD delivery, working closely with customers and site teams to bring exciting new products to market. You’ll be supported by a wider NPD function, with genuine scope to grow and develop in a fast-moving environment.

Do you think you fit the criteria?
