Youth Support Worker

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? Annadale Community Centre is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Support Worker to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Engage with children and young people in our youth clubs and groups.
* Plan, organise, and deliver a range of activities that promote personal and social development.
* Provide support and guidance to young people, helping them to achieve their potential.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants.
* Work flexibly to meet the needs of the role. Please note both afternoon and evening work is a requirement of this post.
* To support the Youth Work Coordinator to maintain accurate administrative documents as requested.

Qualifications and Experience

Shortlisting Criteria

* Previous experience working with children and young people is preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* A genuine passion for youth development and community engagement.

Desirable Criteria and Qualifications.

These will be used for shortlisting purposes in the event of a large number of applicants.

· Qualifications. A relevant qualification in the community youth work, education, health, sport or social science field.

* Experience. Experience working, in a paid capacity, within a youth work setting.

Hours of work: Six hours a week, including evenings and afternoons. Hours may occasionally fall outside of these times, including weekends, and a degree of flexibility is required. Role may include residential trips and time in lieu will be offered for any overtime incurred.

Rate of pay: £12.21 per hour. Post is funded for one year.
