About The Role
allpay Limited is one of the fastest-growing Fintech companies in the UK, specializing in payment and financial services.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Software Engineer to join our Research and Development team on a fixed-term contract.
In this role, you will:
* Assist in requirements gathering to ensure comprehensive and accurate information for design, development, and implementation.
* Participate in an Agile development team to develop software designs and specifications based on system requirements, following established procedures.
* Engage in sprint and release planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
* Design software that meets business and user needs, with considerations for extensibility, maintainability, supportability, and configurability.
* Provide support and consultancy to colleagues and other departments as needed.
* Maintain and enhance your skills by studying the latest development tools, techniques, and technologies, and participating in educational opportunities.
About You
You will need:
* Experience with object-oriented programming languages, especially C# and .NET.
* Experience with SQL Server or similar, accessed via management interfaces or software applications.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to develop workable solutions or workarounds. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
* Experience with Microsoft Azure platform and services is desirable. Web frontend development experience is beneficial.
* Good knowledge of software and hardware environments, including networking.
This role is hybrid, based at our offices near Hereford, accessible from Birmingham, Gloucester, Cheltenham, or Worcester.
