Job Overview
Our new Supplier Quality Assurance Technician will report to the Supplier Quality Assurance Leader and will be responsible for the daily running of quality‑related activities for incoming materials. You will work with cross‑functional teams to improve supplier performance to agreed metrics, coordinate and make decisions regarding non‑conforming product, and support the site‑wide manufacturing teams across the Plymouth site.
Responsibilities
* Perform raw material incoming inspections in accordance with specifications/drawings and prioritize activities.
* Raise Quality Notifications following material rejections and follow up with applicable vendor or internal production teams on root cause and corrective actions.
* Work cross‑functionally with the Supply Chain Team regarding inventory requirements.
* Ensure SAP and Flex Net accuracy through regular reconciliation reviews.
* Action data collection requests and control of trial materials that pertain to site wide raw material projects.
* Perform raw material stock counts to ensure department accuracy.
* Support the publishing of SQA Quality results on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
* Provide quality support for internal audits and CAPAs (Corrective Action, Preventive Action).
* Support the SQA Leader and Supplier Quality Engineer on activities such as internal change controls, Test Method Validations and Engineering Change Requests.
* Conduct monthly 5S reports.
* Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
* Comply with onsite H&S and GMP requirements.
Qualifications
* The ideal candidate will have experience as a QC Technician within a manufacturing environment.
* Experience in the control of inspection, measuring and test equipment is desirable.
* Good MS Office skills.
* Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, balance and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
* Strong aptitude for data analysis, trending and reporting.
Compensation
Salary range: £25,000.00 – £38,125.00 GBP per annum.
