Job Summary
Our fabulous #TeamFairyhill are looking for an outgoing and bubbly female colleague with bags of enthusiasm to join their team as a Support Practitioner on a part‑time (16 hours per week) permanent basis.
Role and Responsibilities
Working as part of our small team you’ll be supporting a young lady who loves nothing more than staying active. She enjoys social activities, going to night clubs, themed “Come Dine With Me” events with her friends, and there is never a dull moment.
You’ll provide practical and emotional 1:1 support within her home and while out in the community. By taking a person‑centred approach you will get to know her, encourage independence, and help her recognise her potential. Part of your role will include developing and maintaining personal plans.
You will need a full UK manual driver’s licence with at least one year of driving experience, as the supported lady has her own mobility car.
About You
We would be delighted if you have experience working with mental health, but we recruit on values and transferable skills. Our Training Academy will give you all the skills you’ll need, including training for SVQ. We will fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification, PVG costs and SSSC registration fees. We’ll also pay you for your training.

Shift Patterns
Our dedicated team provides person‑centred support seven days a week, typically between 8am and 8pm. Rotations will include weekends and public holidays.

Additional Requirements
Successful candidates will join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working toward an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with support from our Training Academy.
Within three months of starting, you must register with SSSC and meet insurance requirements for driving the mobility car.
If you have spent more than 12 months in the UK (excluding France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over 18, you will need to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of pre‑employment checks.
