Job Description
The Environmental Health and Safety Manager will act as the Responsible Person for all Environmental and Health & Safety matters across Ardent Data Centers. They will identify and respond to current legal and best practice requirements at a global level, providing professional Environmental and Health & Safety leadership within Ardent Data Centers at all levels of the business. They will set the strategic direction for effective management of all Environmental and Health & Safety requirements and deliver appropriate workplace wellbeing programs for Ardent Data Center employees. The manager will work alongside and guide colleagues and vendors globally to achieve EHS excellence.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Monitor, evaluate, and review existing, new, and upcoming Health and Safety legislation, ensuring Ardent Data Centers has systems and procedures to meet legal compliance and other requirements.
* Identify and implement effective health and safety training programs across the business.
* Ensure compliance requirements are controlled, documented, and maintained according to local regulations and best practices.
* Oversee and conduct audits as appropriate, establishing action plans using SMART objectives to address issues identified.
* Review and develop all aspects of Ardent Data Centers' environmental, health, safety, and wellbeing policies, ensuring consistent implementation across the organization.
* Implement, monitor, and advise on strategic Environmental, Health & Safety Management systems, aiming to improve performance and foster a positive safety culture.
* Collaborate proactively with managers and key employees to establish continuous improvement programs in environmental health, safety, and wellbeing within their areas of responsibility.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
* Formal tertiary qualification in Engineering, Health and Safety, or Scientific discipline.
* Experience in conducting EHS management audits and implementing comprehensive action plans to address audit findings.
* Proven recent experience in an EHS role at a similar level, with a track record of fostering culture change.
* Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring to develop EHS knowledge and expertise within a growing organization.
* Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of Environmental, Health, Safety, and risk management.
* Ability to interpret and provide authoritative advice on EHS and risk management issues.
