PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Club Manager of AnytimeFitness Totton will be responsible for general running of allaspects of the club with specific emphasis on the sale of newmemberships retention of existing members management of staff andcontractors plus Health and Safety requirements.
CONTEXT OF THE ROLE
With almost 4000 CLUBS WORLDWIDEAnytime Fitness (AF) is the fastest growing fitness chain acrossthe globe and is now growing rapidly in the UK with over 200 clubs.Anytime fitness Totton is approaching its 5th year anniversary ofoperations with a solid membership base and room for furtherexpansion.
The roleholder will ideally have aproven track record in managing a team of staff within a highquality service environment preferably from the leisure and fitnessindustry. working to agreed key performance indicators. Goodadministration and organisational skills are also a must as well asa proactive and engaging attitude to work.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Sales and Marketing
Dealing with initial prospectivemembers enquiries and/or visits to the club. Convert telephoneenquiries into appointments for you and the team. Developmembership referral schemes in the pursuit of warm calling.
Daily management of the membership system anduploading accurate information of all prospects/members ensuringthat adequate notes are maintained. Provide on the floor sales
leadership and support. Ensure that all salesstaff conduct sales tours in the most appropriate and effectivemanner.
Any experience with social media emailmarketing/newsletters or external selling into corporates is highlydesirable.
Member Retention
Analyse membership statistics andtrends and implement appropriate courses of action. Develop acultural and membership experience so that members are engaged andfeel that they belong to a club rather than just a gym to increasemember satisfaction and longevity (which in turn will lead tobetter referrals).
Club Daily Operations; Ensureall procedures and practices are in line with AF best practice withparticular emphasis on management of member information includingfinancial information. Liaise and coordinate with Clubwise AFspartner for membership and DD management.
This Includes:
Maintaining the club to thehighest of standards within the preagreed budget ensuring at alltimes that the member experience exceeds their expectations.
Club cleanliness including the management ofcontracted cleaners ad hoc staff cleaning when contract cleanersare not available and daily spot checks.
Maintaining adequate stock of club provided essentials such asdisposable wipes toiletries vending machine supplies etc.
Ensure gym equipment is maintained to fullworking order and always clean.
Ensure thatclub is staffed during all advertised staffed periods. This willinclude the management of both expected known absences such asholidays and unexpected absences such as sickness.
Ensure the effective daytoday leadership of theSales and Membership Team. Implement and document weekly 121s withteam members.
Attend regular 121s as requiredwith Club Owner. Develop skills of staff within the Sales andMembership team and ensure they are trained and competent toeffectively provide excellent customer service.
Introduce motivational campaigns that support the development ofstaff to achieve their goals Ensure communicating with Citation onall matters relating to HR and following advice given on managingunderperforming staff.
Coordinate activities ofPersonal Trainers (PTs) to ensure successful growth of their PTbusiness thus ensuring ongoing PT income. Marketing Promote AFmaking best use of predeveloped advertising and support materialsto develop sales campaigns to attract as wide a proportion of thetarget market as possible include introduction and continued growthof social media.
Ensure completing acomprehensive marketing planner using AF tools provided withinrecommended timeframes. Ensure marketing planner fully supports therequired sales target for the club as set out by Franchisee.
Health & Safety Adherence of ClubH&S requirements as specified by Citation. Ensurecompletion of all recommendations within time frames requested.Equal Opportunities Ensuring AF equal opportunities anddiscrimination policy is adhered to and enforced.
