We are looking for an ambitious Cardiac Physiologist with a speciality in Echocardiography to join the team at the Newmarket Community Diagnostic Centre.
Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) are being established across the country under a government programme to improve local access to diagnostic testing.
Newmarket's CDC will open in November 2024 and, once open, will deliver approximately 100,000 outpatient tests a year. These will include Cardiology, CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, blood tests, and Respiratory services.
This will enable communities in and around Newmarket to have quicker and easier access to essential tests in a modern facility located nearby. The centre will operate 7 days a week, reducing waiting times and helping to address health inequalities by ensuring patients receive their tests, results, and any necessary treatments promptly.
Previous applicants need not apply.
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must have a minimum of 12 months experience as a BSE Accredited Band 7 Cardiac Physiologist. It is essential that the applicant holds a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent, along with BSE Accreditation or equivalent. This role involves managerial responsibilities; therefore, experience in leadership or management roles would be desirable.
