Spencer Ogden are supporting our client, who has a major presence in the UK, with primary manufacturing, grid solutions, and engineering facilities located in Stafford specializing in HVDC technology. We are looking for a remote EHS Analyst who will lead and manage in the most efficient manner EHS project site team members to providesupport on implementing the Site EHS Management System. Implement and maintain the Site Environmental, Health & Safety Management System, ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, contractual and the company requirements; implement and maintain the Site Security Management System, when relevant, ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, contractual and the company requirements.Define and monitor actions to improve EHS Performance in Construction & Commissioning and to reduce likelihood and severity of EHS events and Site Security breaches.Job Assignments, Measurements & Sphere of Influence Tasks & Responsibilities EHS Role ? Led by example for others and provide full and active commitment in the deployment of the GE GSI EHS Policy “Our Commitment to EHS” and compliance to site EHS rules. Monitor the effectiveness of the site related rules defined in the Site CPP- EHS Plan, revise as necessary in agreement with the Project Director, and take appropriate actions in the event ofnon-compliance. Manage all ongoing programs and action plans implemented by the site for the protection of the environment, including permits for air emissions, hazardous waste management, and wastewatermanagement. Ensure full implementation of GE standards and procedures at site (EHS Directives, Work Instructions and Guidelines, EHS Roadmap standard, etc.).Monitor fulfilment of EHS contractual requirements established with the Subcontractors. Ensure full implementation of the risk assessment / method statement identification, preparation, review and communication processes. Ensure that all site EHS events (accidents / incidents, near-misses, first aid cases, property damages, etc.) are recorded, reported, investigated and analysed in due time to prevent recurrence. Monitor quantity and quality of the site EHS inspections carried out by the site personnel. Advise site management on legal exposure and EHS concerns related to any change or decision managed at site. Define and implement an EHS Subcontractor audit program to monitor compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory, contractual and the company requirements. Monitor fulfilment of EHS contractual requirements established with the Subcontractors. Develop and maintain the EHS Project Governance and execution plans. Job Description Project Site EHS Manager CDM Skills Ensure that GE fulfil their obligations under the CDM Regulations 2015. Deliver CDM Awareness training to GE PDG Designers and Project team so they can fulfill their obligations under CDM Regulations.Provide CDM tutorials and support for GE Suppliers so they can fulfill their obligations under CDM Regulations.Attend GE internal meetings as required to support and problem solve EHS issues and ensure that so far as reasonable practicable GE provides equipment and systems that are safe form risk ofharm.Key Performance Indicators EHS Leadership of EHS Advisors at project level ? EHS audit on subcontractors. EHS Roadmap assessments. Site EHS Training matrix. Project EHS Key Performance Indicators (EHS Dashboard, etc.). Customer satisfaction survey. Profile Skills knowledge and experience required Good computer skill using MS office (word, excel, power point). NEBOSH General Certificate and Diploma in EHS (NEBOSH or Equivalent)-minimum qualifications. University level (MSc/BSc) in EHS preferrable. IOSH Membership-minimum Certified Level (Cert IOSH), CMIOSH or working towards preferred. University graduate in Industrial market qualification with EHS or/and technical background. Expert knowledge of local EHS legislation. International EHS regulatory knowledge /qualification as required. Good working Knowledge of UK CDM 2015 Regulations. Great communication/influencing skills. Experience with and knowledge of independent standards organizations and certification programs such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc. At least 5 years' experience in EHS and CDM at a construction site. Problem solving and root cause identification skills. Able to navigate in an multi-cultural environment. Strong experience working in a matrix organization. Computer literacy. High proficiency in English (oral & written).
