We are looking for a Senior Project Controls Engineer to join our team at the Lower Thames Crossing project where we’re delivering preliminary works for the Kent Roads section — 6 km of new road, Europe’s widest green bridge, a public park and 12 miles of pathways.
In this role you will work on the integration and consolidation of all project related information utilising digital solutions according to the Skanska UK project controls process and digital strategy. You will also develop quality business intelligence solutions and support strategic planning with real data insights, providing value for both Skanska and our clients.
As the Senior Project Controls Engineer, you will:
* Implement Coding Standards and Processes: Ensure the consistent application of coding standards, processes, and procedures across the project, maintaining compliance with the Common Coding Structure
* Integrate Core Project Controls: Oversee the integration of Programme Control (P6), Cost and Budget (BoQ), Earned Value Reporting, Change Management, Resource Allocation (including labour and subcontract), Forecasting, and Reporting at the project level
* Develop, deliver, and maintain standard Power BI dashboards, analysis, and commentary for the Project Leadership Team
* Analyse all available information to identify root causes, trends, and areas for improvement; prioritise and implement plans to enhance project performance
* Ensure data, performance processes, and solutions align with wider Skanska UK policies,
We are looking for:
* Knowledge and experience within the construction industry and/or a construction-related accreditation or qualification
* Knowledge and experience in project controls procedures such as EVM, Planning Controls, Commercial Controls and NEC Contracts
* Experience using Power BI (DAX, M) or similar. Highly versatile with Microsoft Excel. Highly valuable knowledge of Novade digital system
* Knowledge of R, Python & SQL is advantageous
* Familiarity with SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Teams is beneficial
