Assistant Accountant
Role Scope:
* Full time hours - 37.5 per week
* A fixed-term agreement for 6 months
* Remote working opportunity
We are looking for a proactive and detail orientated individual to play a key role in supporting the preparation of financial information for external audits, particularly the National Audit Office (NAO), and the production of Group Accounts for the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Collate and validate information required for the NAO Audit and Group Accounts.
* Challenge and critically review information submitted by departments to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission to auditors.
* Maintain and regularly update the project plan the production and delivery of Group Accounts. Ensuring the key deadlines are met.

Experience and qualifications required include:
* Part- qualified accountant (AAT, CCAB or equivalent) or have substantial experience in an NHS or public sector finance environment.
* Experienced in preparing financial information and supporting external audits.
* Highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing information and meeting deadlines.
* Confident in reviewing and challenging financial data to ensure robust reporting.
