The Property Service are creating a new Carbon Strategy team which will drive our corporate approach to creating a more sustainable property portfolio. We are looking for an Energy Engineer to assist our drive to highlight and reduce energy and water wastage across the County.
To be the successful candidate, you will have experience of delivering a broad, property-based decarbonisation strategy, and you'll bring an innovative and collaborative approach to making a difference in Lancashire.
Team activities will include:
1. Provide technical advice on a commercial basis in accordance with the Property Service business plan
2. Implement Council energy policies under the direction of the Senior Energy Engineer
3. Undertake energy and water surveys/site investigations as required and write reports
4. Offer support in energy procurement activities
5. Prepare de-carbonisation schemes and tender documents for the implementation of investment measures
6. Engage with clients to help resolve energy and water queries relating to cost or consumption
7. Generate Display Energy Certificates and Recommendations Reportsasrequired
Applicants must have an attention to detail and be enthusiastic about new ways of working to improve systems and process. Members of the team will have the opportunity to be involved in some of the environmental and asset improvement projects the service leads on such as participating and aiding in the organisation of community tree planting events, creating new school places and developing decarbonisation projects.
Training will be provided to the successful applicants.
