Royal Windsor Racecourse has recently returned to “Jump’s racing” making it an all year track and creating new opportunities for year round events, new offers and facilities. If you are looking for role to make an impact, look no further!

Key Responsibilities

1. To work closely with the Executive Director and other team members to collectively deliver the annual budget for all catering department income and expenditure.
2. Ensure the accurate production of documentation for the monthly management accounts including monthly stock take, labour analysis, analysis of outlet performance.
3. Work alongside the commercial team and Head Chef to propose innovative and creative product offerings, developing packages and sales strategies to achieve both raceday and non-raceday income targets.
4. Work with the sales team to maximise as far as possible the profit for all raceday and non-raceday events.
5. Work with the Head Chef and Staffing Manager to ensure the delivery of budgeted labour percentages for all raceday and non-raceday events.
6. Operationally lead all aspects of raceday and non-raceday events to a high standard. To include hospitality, restaurant and banquet food and beverage operations and retail food and beverage outlets
7. Instruct, supervise, and assist your direct reports in their relevant duties.
8. Ensure adherence to all ARC HR policies and procedures including reporting and management of sickness or absenteeism; planning and approval of annual leave/holiday, 1-1s, objectives and annual appraisals with regional HR support
9. Undertake licensee responsibilities as required including the duties of Designated Premises Supervisor. Ensure relevant legislation with regard to sale of alcohol is adhered to across the site

10. Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage all levels of staff.
11. Proficient in Microsoft applications, POS systems and stock management systems
12. Excellent communication skills
13. 2 years experience in similar catering and events manager position
14. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
15. Advance knowledge of food principles and practices
