It operates within the Scottish education system and is officially classed as an independent school. The campus covers 45 acres of countryside, providing exceptional facilities for teaching and extracurricular activities. The school emphasises stability, community, and academic excellence, following the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Spanish Teacher to join the school from August 2026 on a one-year maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Modern Languages teaching, with a focus on Spanish, across the secondary age, range. You will be joining a supportive, collaborative academic team in a school that values high standards, professional commitment, and a student-centred approach. Deliver engaging and effective Spanish lessons aligned with the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence. Prepare pupils for National Qualifications (Nat 4 5), Highers and, where appropriate, Advanced Highers. Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress. Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and wider school initiatives. Support the pastoral and academic ethos Qualified Teacher Status with a specialism in Spanish / Modern Languages. Experience teaching within the Scottish system is desirable but not essential.
