An opportunity has arisen for an Avionics Maintenance Technician (Supervisor).
This role is based on-site with the F-15E Field Modification Team supporting the USAF at RAF Lakenheath. The team of 15 employees performs modifications and testing of the F-15 aircraft on site.
Role Description:
You will be part of the Boeing team responsible for modifying the F-15E fleet at RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk, UK. Flexibility in deployment to other locations may be required based on support needs.
Your duties include performing modifications according to technical drawings and orders, troubleshooting, testing systems, and working within a team to accomplish aircraft modifications. You will ensure compliance with processes, document work accurately, and adhere to contractual and regulatory standards. Experience in aircraft modification or MRO environments is advantageous. Candidates should have completed a recognized aircraft trade or USAF aircraft training, with proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, manuals, and instructions.
Responsibilities:
* Assemble, disassemble, and modify aerospace systems by replacing or upgrading components.
* Oversee or complete assembly, disassembly, or overhaul tasks.
* Configure aerospace vehicles and testing equipment.
* Troubleshoot complex aircraft systems to identify and repair avionics faults following authorized maintenance procedures.
* Conduct system and component testing.
* Document procedures to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
* Inspect components and verify repairs meet flightworthiness standards.
* Utilize computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
* Communicate effectively, demonstrating strong written and verbal skills.
Required Qualifications:
* Experience with aircraft electrical/avionic modification and testing is required; F-15 avionics experience is beneficial but not essential.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manuals.
* Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
* Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Additional Details:
* Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00, aligned with US federal holidays.

* Security Clearance: Ability to obtain UK Security Check (SC).
* Relocation: Candidates are responsible for their own relocation if necessary.
