EYFS TA required in Catholic Primary School (Wavertree) October 2025 start!
* Level 2 qualified TA required – supporting a child with SEN in the morning, general TA PM.
* Work at Level 2, supporting the class teacher in the EYFS unit.
* Experience working alongside the Early Years Curriculum is a necessity.
Role context
A school which works exclusively with Teaching Personnel has approached us to shortlist and appoint a Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant who can effectively support the Reception class teacher in delivering the EYFS National Curriculum. The Head teacher is keen to appoint a bright and enthusiastic practitioner who can support the EYFS Curriculum effectively and encourage personal and social development. The role is to work in the EYFS department, which is currently graded as ‘Good’ by OFSTED, and support the needs of a number of children from 08:45–15:15. This role will be paid at 30 working hours across the week, with the pay being competitive between £13.75 – £14.50 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Support the Reception class teacher in delivering the EYFS National Curriculum.
* Assist with the personal and social development of children in the EYFS unit.
Qualifications and experience
* Level 2 qualified TA (Teaching Assistant).
* Experience working with the Early Years Curriculum is a necessity.
Requirements and expectations
The Head Teacher has high standards for behaviour and academic development, and the appointed practitioner will need to be able to fit into this mindset. It is preferable that the appointed teaching assistant has a proven track record of working with children in the EYFS department, which can be discussed at interview and evidenced in a trial/observation lesson.
