Pay Rate: £32.97 per hour

Contract: Full-time, Temporary/Ongoing
Are you passionate about being a consistent, stable force in the lives of looked-after children? Redcar & Cleveland Council is looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join their Children in Our Care (CIOC) Team.

The Role
In this role, you will focus on long-term stability and life-story work for children who are looked after by the local authority. Your day-to-day will involve:
* Relationship-Based Practice: Building strong, trusting bonds with children, young people, and their carers.
* Permanency Planning: Developing and implementing robust long-term care plans to ensure every child has a stable "forever" home.
* Statutory Excellence: Conducting regular LAC (Looked After Children) reviews, updating care plans, and ensuring all statutory visits are meaningful and timely.
* Transition Support: Helping young people prepare for independence and leaving care with confidence.
* Advocacy: Being the voice for the child in multi-agency meetings, court proceedings, and reviews.

Requirements
* Registration: Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
* Experience: Proven experience working within a Children in Our Care or Looked After Children team.
* Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality court reports and assessments.
* Driving: A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for visiting children in their placements.
