Job Description
The Multi-Site Warehouse Operations Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple warehouse locations. This role ensures the smooth functioning of all warehouse processes, including inventory management, order fulfilment, logistics coordination, and staff management. The manager plays a critical role in optimizing operational efficiency across multiple warehouse locations. Additionally, the manager collaborates with senior management to align operations with broader business goals and drives improvements to enhance service delivery and cost-effectiveness. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and an in-depth understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
Hours | 43 hours per week; to 5 pm Mon to Thu, 7 am - 3 pm Fri
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee multiple warehouse locations
* Work closely with Supply Chain and Procurement teams
* Lead and mentor warehouse managers, supervisors, and staff
* Identify potential risks to warehouse operations, such as inventory shortages, supply chain disruptions, or staffing issues, and develop contingency plans
* Supervise the operations of multiple warehouses
* Monitor performance metrics for each warehouse
* Lead efforts to optimize warehouse layout, workflow, and inventory management
* Lead the implementation and optimization of warehouse management systems (WMS)
* Handle all staffing needs
* Extensive experience in Warehouse Operations and Supply Chain management (typically 7-10 years), including at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role
* Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management, and order fulfilment processes
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate activities across different locations
* Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards
* Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
* Ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive operational goals
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
* Construction & M&E knowledge, including understanding of M&E materials and equipment handling, site delivery sequencing, and just-in-time logistics
* Experience with construction project logistics planning
* Experience in recruitment and staffing foresight
* Knowledge of warehouse plant requirements
