We are looking for an Infrastructure Programme Manager to join us, responsible for managing one or more technology programmes (programme budgets ranging from £100k-£6m) and leading a team of Project Managers. You will scope, build and deliver programme plans, liaise with key teams and stakeholders across Group Technology and the wider business to manage new project demand and priority changes.
This role will be based at our B&Q office just outside Southampton, with an expectation of 2-3 days a week in the office. Travel to other locations (across the UK and Europe) may be needed depending on project requirements.

Responsibilities include building and maintaining programme and resource plans, ensuring clear project scope and accurate estimations, governance, managing risks, stakeholder communication, budgeting and forecasting, and developing/mentoring team members.
Responsibilities
* Building and maintaining programme and resource plan(s).
* Accountable for the clarity of project scope and accuracy of resource and budget estimations.
* Ensuring that effective programme governance is in place and progress is tracked and accurately reported.
* Managing programme risks with risk management plans; acting as the escalation point for risks and issues.
* Managing key stakeholders through effective communication, identifying key issues and providing actionable insights for decision-making.
* Managing the programme’s budget with clear and accurate forecasting.
* Managing, developing & mentoring team members.
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrable experience of leading complex infrastructure programmes.
* Experience working to recognised project/programme management methodologies.
* A broad technical background with the ability to navigate diverse technology challenges.
* Experience with risk and issue management.
* Well-developed understanding of financial management processes and cycles, including forecasting, capitalisation, budgeting, etc.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage, connect and influence at all levels of the organisation.
* Ability to build, lead and motivate a diverse team of IT professionals in a matrix resource model.
