Take a look at the home: https://dovehaven.co.uk/our-homes/the-brunswick What You’ll Be Doing As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll support the Head Cook with the preparation, serving, and cleanliness of the kitchen, helping ensure residents receive nutritious, well-presented meals each day. This includes: • Assisting with the preparation and simple cooking of breakfast, lunch, and evening meals • Preparing sandwiches, snacks, sweets, and drinks • Supporting with food presentation and preparing trays for service • Washing up and ensuring crockery and kitchen equipment are cleaned and stored correctly • Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene • Completing kitchen close-down and cleaning duties at the end of the day • Checking and recording food and equipment temperatures accurately • Ensuring food stores, fridges, and freezers are clean, tidy, and well stocked • Assisting with deliveries and putting stock away appropriately • Following food hygiene, infection control, and health & safety procedures at all times • Reporting faulty equipment, hazards, accidents, or concerns appropriately • Working alongside the wider care team to support residents’ wellbeing What Matters Most We’re looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards and creating a positive dining experience for residents.
