We are working with a leading global bank seeking a Service Chain Mapping Product Owner to join their technology function on a contract basis.
This is a key role focused on enhancing operational resilience, ensuring critical business services and their underlying technology dependencies are clearly mapped, understood, and continuously improved.
The Role
As a Product Owner, you will take ownership of the Service Chain Mapping capability, driving strategy, roadmap, and delivery across tooling, processes, and data accuracy.
You’ll operate at the intersection of Product, IT Service Management, and ServiceNow, working closely with stakeholders across technology, operations, and resilience teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own and develop the Service Chain Mapping roadmap (tools, processes, standards, and scope)
2. Ensure accurate mapping of IT assets supporting critical business services
3. Drive improvements in automation, data quality, and mapping accuracy
4. Lead the migration from legacy tooling to ServiceNow, establishing a strategic system of record
5. Expand service maps to include non-technical dependencies (, third parties, people, locations)
6. Deliver metrics and reporting to support regulatory and operational resilience objectives
7. Provide SME support for enhancements, incidents, and platform stability
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align delivery with business priorities
Skills & Experience
9. Proven Experience as a Product Owner / Technical Product Owner
10. Strong knowledge of Service Mapping, CMDB, or ITSM environments
11. Hands-on Experience with ServiceNow (highly desirable)
12. Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments
13. Understanding of operational resilience or regulatory frameworks (preferred)
14. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
15. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to prioritise based on business value
