Job Summary
The ERP Lead/Production control support is responsible for the administration, optimisation, and ongoing improvement of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This role collaborates closely with multiple departments to ensure the ERP system effectively supports business operations. This role is critical in ensuring smooth production flow, reducing downtime, and supporting the company's overall operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include resolving technical issues, analysing data for informed decision-making, and implementing system enhancements that promote data accuracy, security, and accessibility.
You'll be the behind-the-scenes hero helping to ensure production flows smoothly and on time. You'll partner closely with Manufacturing Supervisor, Operations, and Engineering team to keep schedules aligned, identify potential delays, and coordinate adjustments in real time.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP System Administration & Support
* Ensure accurate, real-time data entry and reporting across departments.
* Support the implementation, management, and routine maintenance of the ERP system to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and recommend ERP system improvements.
* Support data analysis and reporting by developing tools and techniques that ensure data accuracy, completeness, and legitimacy.
* Monitor ERP system performance and manage timely updates and upgrades.
* Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends to identify and implement enhancements that support business performance.
* Provide user training and ongoing support to ensure effective ERP system use.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system processes and user training.
* Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and ERP vendors, facilitating issue resolution and minimizing operational disruptions.
* Conduct routine checks to maintain data integrity and system efficiency in collaboration with the Quality Lead.
* Support Production to release and monitor purchase orders, production schedules, and work orders.
* Collaborate with Manufacturing Supervisors and Operations teams to proactively identify bottlenecks and adjust schedules to maintain on-time delivery.
Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience in process improvement/systems operation/manufacturing /engineering or supply chain
* Intermediate level in Excel
* Familiarity with ERP systems. (preferably Progress Plus, but experience in other ERP/MRP systems would support the role)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills.
* High level of attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and traceability.
* Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced manufacturing environments
