Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team and to work throughout the store assisting customers where required. As a Barista/Food Hall Assistant, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee and customer service will enhance the overall experience for our patrons, ensuring they leave with a smile.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, adhering to food safety standards.
* Ensuring all items are fresh and presented beautifully.
* Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently.
* Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service.
* Operate cash registers and handle transactions with basic math skills for accurate billing.
* Check off deliveries and assist with restocking and merchandising of the shopfloor.
* Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and meet customer needs.
Requirements
* Previous barista experience is highly desirable, showcasing your knowledge of coffee preparation techniques.
* Understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
* Strong serving skills with the ability to engage customers in a friendly manner.
* Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
* Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during peak hours.
* To work as part of the team on a weekly rota system.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
