Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the preparation of management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, process improvement and driving efficiencies across the finance department. The successful candidate will partner with key stakeholders across the business to deliver insightful and accurate financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Timely preparation of monthly management accounts
* Month-end journal postings, including prepayments and accruals
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Month-end and ad-hoc reporting
* Monitoring business performance against budget and forecast
* Preparation of variance analysis and commentary
* Maintenance of the fixed asset register
* Support in the preparation of the monthly board pack
* Collaborating with teams across the business to gather inputs for budgets and forecasts
* Building and maintaining strong internal relationships
* Supporting departments with expenditure management and financial insight
* Managing external relationships
* Liaising with external auditors, responding to audit queries and sample requests
* Ensuring the timely completion of National Statistics returns
