Mac’s Truck Rental is a major provider of specialist, heavy-duty commercial vehicles on both short-term flexible rental or longer-term contract hire. A sister company to Mac’s Truck Sales, the company is based in Outlane, Huddersfield, offering nationwide coverage, which includes a dedicated facility in Perth, Scotland. Mac’s Truck Rental operates a modern, high-spec rental fleet which includes beavertails, crane trucks, skip loaders, hook loaders and jet/vac tankers, the majority built in-house to exact customer requirements.
Over the last 5 years, the company has seen huge growth, and we are looking to appoint a dedicated Marketing Executive based at our Outlane site, working directly alongside our existing Marketing Manager to build a brand that stands out in the commercial vehicle hire industry.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly visual, hands-on Marketing Executive to own our brand's output, creating engaging content, managing channels, coordinating campaigns, and helping generate leads. You won’t be sitting at a desk all day; you’ll be putting on a high-vis jacket, getting out into the yard or visiting customers, and making our specialist fleet look incredible. You will take strategic briefs from our Marketing Manager and bring them to life.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
* Video & Photo Content Creation: Filming and photographing our fleet. You'll be shooting everything from quick, snappy social media walkarounds in the yard, to polished YouTube overviews and everything in between, including filming and photography at customer sites across the UK
* Graphic Design: Using Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva to design compelling sales brochures/collateral, magazine adverts, email graphics, and social media assets.
* Copywriting: Writing engaging social media posts and case studies, updating website copy, and assisting the Marketing Manager with SEO-friendly blog content.
* Project/Campaign Execution: Taking ownership of the content calendar, ensuring campaigns/projects are delivered on time and maintaining a consistent posting schedule.
* Agency Management: Collaborating and working with our external PR partner to showcase business news and customer stories.
* Minimum 2 years of experiencein a marketing role at either an agency or in-house.
* Organised self-starter with strong initiative.
* Keen to achieve measurable business outcomes, such as increasing lead and sales KPI’s.
* Data-driven and able to generate clear insights for stakeholders/business owners.
* Skilled in using Google Analytics 4 for tracking and analysing website and campaign performance
* Experienced in managing social media platforms (Organic & Paid), including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & LinkedIn
* Experience managing a website using a CMS (Wordpress preferred but not essential)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proven track record of creating high-quality content, with a portfolio demonstrating your ability to shoot/edit video, capture great photos, and design graphics.
* Confident using the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.) or equivalent tools such as Canva.
Licence/Certification
* Full UK driving licence (minor endorsements may be accepted)
* Previous experience in the Commercial vehicle industry, transport or construction sectors.
* B2B Marketing Experience
* Working knowledge of SEO principles.
* Previous experience managing and executing Google Ads campaigns
