Please kindly note this is a Winery Warehouse and Production Assistant - Evening shift position.
Upon successfully joining Nyetimber, you will initially join on day shifts while undergoing training, once this has been completed (we estimate within 3 months) we will move to our afternoon shift to start gaining the benefit of extended production hours, once this has been successfully implemented you will start the evening shift permanently.
Temporary day shift hours: 7.30am - 4pm
Temporary afternoon shift hours: 11.30am - 8pm
Permanent evening shift hours: 3.30pm - Midnight
All of the above will be Monday - Friday with a one hour early finish on Fridays.
There will be a 10% increase in pay when you start the afternoon shift and a 20% increase in pay for your permanent evening shift role. The Winery Warehouse and Production Assistant will be responsible for meeting sparkling wine production demands including warehouse organisation, production line work, dispatch, receiving and efficient storage of all goods to and from the winery.
Carry out all winery production operations accurately and in a timely fashion. These production activities will include working on bottling, disgorging and labelling lines, plus general cellar activities.
Forklift driving; Maintain the warehouse and production facility in a tidy state- take initiative to clean debris, rubbish and broken glass as needed.
Be the main receiving contact for all deliveries to the winery (including, but not limited empty bottle deliveries, packaging, etc.) Including loading/unloading “on lees” stock for sending to/at other Nyetimber or external sites.
Organization and maintaining a correct storage for all finished goods, packaging, and dry goods pallets.
Support Labelling team with forklift activities and wrapping pallets during busy periods of time.
To work at any of the Nyetimber production facilities as required.
To show initiative in keeping up to date with personal training records and updates to winery Standard Operating Protocols and/or Risk Assessments.
To undertake any prescribed training as required.
