Overview
The successful applicant will have experience working at an advanced level in the assessment, differential diagnosis and management of voice and swallowing disorders. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the ENT department, including participating in the running of the Joint Voice Clinic and steering the direction of the voice service across the Trust. There is flexibility within the role and we are committed to supporting applicants in developing advanced skills in both voice and swallowing disorders as required.
Development and Training
The Trust is dedicated to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice, offering regular in-service training and both peer group and 1:1 support. You will have the opportunity to participate in a well-established voice peer support network across Surrey and Sussex localities. SASH has an extensive range of training and development opportunities for staff; the therapies department also has a practice development therapist who can support learning needs. The Trust has recently launched the Primrose Awards to recognise AHPs who go above and beyond to provide patients and families with excellent clinical care.
Working Arrangements
We are committed to offering flexible working opportunities, including hybrid working arrangements, to support staff wellbeing and work-life balance. This role could accommodate a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a blend of remote clinics from home as well as on-site from East Surrey Hospital. The Joint Voice Clinic runs every 2 weeks on-site at Crawley Hospital.

Pay and Terms
Successful candidates will be appointed to the first pay step within the band when they start with the Trust (unless they have previous relevant NHS continuous service); thereafter individuals will progress up the pay steps in accordance with NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) terms and conditions. For part-time roles you will receive a pro rata salary based on the appropriate pay step/point and hours worked in accordance with AfC and all medical and dental terms and conditions.

Service Area
We provide emergency and non-emergency services to residents of East Surrey, North-East West Sussex, and South Croydon, with a population of over 535,000. We provide acute and complex services and a range of outpatient and diagnostic services; Crawley Hospital and Horsham in West Sussex and Caterham Dene Hospital and Oxted Health Centre in Surrey provide less complex planned services. In 2019 the Care Quality Commission rated our services as Outstanding.
