Instrumentation Engineer (Vacuum Systems) Brief Job description: The applicant will be expected to assist with the following duties under the direct supervision of a member of the Vacuum Group. Training for specific duties and processes will be provided by the Vacuum Group. * Electrical vacuum equipment inspection, handling and inventory checking. * Inspection and checking of pre-assembly equipment. * Functional testing of assembled vacuum equipment. * Vacuum bakeout (conditioning) of vacuum components to UHV conditions. * Assist with installation of the vacuum components covering different locations on site. * Assisting with commissioning and testing of installed vacuum systems. * Must be able to work in accordance with all Vacuum Group QA documentation and procedures. Duties The key duties of the post are as follows: * To participate in the conditioning, testing, installation and commissioning of the vacuum systems. * To utilise effectively the quality control and quality procedures of the project. * To work within a clean room environment (ISO 7 standard Class 10000). * To undertake other related duties to meet the needs of the Vacuum Group.
