Job Description:
To lead on prevention and intervention to help residents sustain their tenancies. The team is based within the Housing Tenancy Management Team and works with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the Council's vision of keeping communities safe. Responsibilities include intervening and resolving reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse, making referrals/signposting, and supporting vulnerable residents to ensure they feel safe at home. The role involves developing partnerships with agencies to assess and manage risks, employing intervention measures, and securing positive outcomes.
Key duties include:
* Addressing reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse
* Supporting victims with risk assessments and safety plans
* Attending meetings with stakeholders to resolve ASB cases
* Delivering resident-focused responses to complaints
* Creating action plans for case resolution
* Utilising legislation for preventative and legal actions, including mediation
* Conducting interviews with complainants, witnesses, and perpetrators
* Preparing legal notices and court cases as necessary
* Ensuring positive customer experiences and effective communication
* Building respectful relationships with victims, families, and perpetrators
* Providing detailed reports based on evidence and needs analysis
* Handling safeguarding matters promptly and effectively
* Managing complex, high-risk cases involving vulnerable individuals
Key skills and requirements:
* Full driving license and use of a vehicle
* Experience managing tenancy breaches in the public sector
