Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our nursery team and ensure a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a solid background in early childhood education. This role is pivotal in shaping the development of young children while supporting staff and engaging with parents.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in childcare.
* Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff to foster a positive team environment.
* Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's learning and development.
* Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
* Manage budgets, resources, and supplies efficiently to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
* Conduct regular assessments of children's development and implement strategies for improvement where necessary.
* Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
* Organise training sessions for staff to enhance their skills in childcare and early childhood education.
Experience
* Proven experience in a managerial role within a nursery or similar childcare setting is essential.
* Strong background in early childhood education with relevant qualifications.
* Experience working directly with children, demonstrating an understanding of their needs and developmental milestones.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common goals.
* A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation as needed for nursery activities or outings.
