Ward B23 is an 32-bed Orthopaedic trauma unit. Our focus is on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and ensuring a positive experience from admission through to discharge. You will work as part of a dynamic, multi-professional team committed to providing compassionate care to the communities we serve.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to apply for a Band 6 Deputy Charge Nurse role. We are looking for a hardworking, motivated individual with strong clinical expertise in our surgical specialties. You will demonstrate advanced skills in care planning and assessment, ensuring safe and effective patient management.

As a Band 6 Deputy Charge Nurse, you will provide leadership and act as a team leader, supporting and managing staff on a regular basis and prioritise and manage clinically unwell patients You will facilitate safe admissions, discharges, and transfers and be a role model for compassionate care, always advocating for patient safety and quality. You must uphold professional candour and integrity in every aspect of your work and relevant post-registration experience is essential for this role.

We are passionate about supporting the training and development of our staff and students. You should share this commitment by actively engaging in mentoring, preceptorship, and facilitating learning opportunities on the ward. In addition, we expect you to embrace the ongoing development of your own skills and knowledge.
