H3>Research Opportunity: Adaptive Mesh Refinement for Wall Boiling Bubble Dynamics
Supervisor: Dr Mirco Magnini
This exciting opportunity is based within the Fluids and Thermal Engineering research group in the Faculty of Engineering, which conducts cutting-edge research into experimental and computational heat and mass transfer, multiphase flows, thermal management, refrigeration, energy, combustion, and process optimisation.
The project focuses on developing novel interface capturing Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods for simulating boiling in Nuclear Thermal Hydraulics applications. It is a collaborative effort with Rolls-Royce and the UK Atomic Energy Authority.
