An opportunity has arisen to join the Make Ready management team, aligned to an operational sector and reporting to the Make Ready Delivery Manager. You will manage the Make Ready Hubs, providing an excellent opportunity to develop management skills and experience. Your role will involve supporting and guiding a team to deliver and improve their skills and knowledge.
The position allows you to plan and prioritize work, develop an understanding of this part of the LAS, and build strong links with the wider organization, including Logistics and the Vehicle Resource Centre. Although sector-based, you will also collaborate with Make Ready colleagues across the Trust.
Working full rotating shifts, you will oversee the Make Ready Hubs in your sector, ensuring the delivery of clean, checked, and restocked ambulances ready at the start of each shift for clinical staff. In liaison with VRC, you will plan vehicle movements and allocate work and staff accordingly. People management is a significant aspect of this role, including managing attendance, performance, and conduct in accordance with Trust policies.
Our vision is to deliver outstanding emergency and urgent care whenever and wherever needed for everyone in London, 24/7, 365 days a year. Our strategy 2023-2028 outlines how we plan to achieve this, focusing on three missions:
1. Our care - delivering outstanding emergency and urgent care whenever and wherever needed.
2. Our organisation - being an increasingly inclusive, well-led, and highly skilled organization that people are proud to work for.
3. Our London - using our unique pan-London position to contribute to improving the health of the capital.
To achieve these missions, we have set 50 commitments to deliver over the next five years. These commitments have been developed through extensive engagement with our organization, partners, and patients, analyzing population trends and horizon scanning for the future.
You will need to be confident in working with, communicating with, and managing people, adjusting your approach to meet differing needs. The role requires travel across the LAS region, so a driving license is essential. You must also be able to work full rotating shifts.
