IT Support Engineer Salary Range: £24,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience) Location: Office Based with some client site working Employment Type: Permanent We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our team during an exciting stage of growth. This role is crucial in maintaining the technological backbone of our company and our clients. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of computer networks and systems, ensuring they run efficiently and securely. Day to Day of the role: Provide IT support, resolve IT-related issues with users, manage calls, and raise tickets within the ticketing system. Identify and resolve faults remotely or on client sites. Manage all issues in our tracking system, reporting on issues in line with Service Level Agreements. Escalate tickets requiring additional skills/experience to remediate. Build, configure, and install new computers, and onboard new users. Serve as an administrator for clients' hardware and software systems. Maintain accurate records of IT hardware/software in our documentation system. Procure and administer computers and office equipment to meet client needs and budget requirements. Design, test, and implement security policies and procedures. Continuously develop knowledge of IT support, help desk procedures, products, and services. Participate in and support new and existing projects either remotely or on-site as required. Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change. Required Skills & Qualifications: Relevant certifications and/or experience in IT support and network management. Experience in supporting and managing Microsoft Office 365. Working knowledge of networking. Good knowledge of help desk software and remote control tools. Detailed tracking of activity and changes in our documentation system. Ability to work independently and ensure customer satisfaction. Knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy. Knowledge of printers and scanners, website administration, and DNS. Desirable Skills: Professional IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft MCP, MCSA, ITIL, ITSM). Experience with Unifi network hardware and cloud controller. Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V. Experience with supporting and managing 3CX or Teams VoIP Technology.
