Key Responsibilities *? - Assisting with the implementation and monitoring of the site's Process Safety Management (PSM) systems. - Supporting the execution of Process Hazard Assessments using methodologies such as HAZOP, Explosion Risk Assessment, and Occupied Building Risk Assessments. - Contributing to internal audits and inspections of safety-critical systems (e.g., Permit to Work, Lock Out Tag Out Try Out, Confined Space Entry, Overrides) and provide practical advice on safety and process safety issues, feeding back when required standards are not being met and making recommendations for corrective action as appropriate. - Helping coordinate and deliver training related to key process safety procedures. - Monitoring and reporting key safety performance indicators (KPIs). - Supporting incident investigations and root cause analysis. - Liaising with internal teams and regulatory bodies as required. - Participating in SHE improvement initiatives and championing safety excellence on site. - Provide support to generate, evaluate, investigate, and implement cost effective solutions and improvements to the process and equipment. You Bring - A degree (BSc/MEng) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline. - A genuine interest in process safety and a strong desire to grow professionally in a high-hazard manufacturing environment. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and planning skills. - A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. - A willingness to learn and take ownership of your personal and professional development. - Desirable: Any industrial or project experience in oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, or bulk/fine chemical manufacturing, as well as awareness of COMAH regulations or process safety principles (training will be provided).
