Salary: £26,314.02 - £28,609.74 per year pro rata

Contract Type: Temporary

Position Type: Part Time

Hours: 18.5 hours per week


Job Summary

Please note that salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours.

East Dunbartonshire Leisure & Culture Trust was established on 1st April 2011 to deliver leisure and cultural services for East Dunbartonshire Council. The council’s leisure centres include the Leisuredrome in Bishopbriggs, Allander Leisure Centre in Bearsden, and Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre.

We are expanding our leisure services and are recruiting for the following position to join our team:

1x Part-time Temporary Leisure Assistant at Allander Leisure Centre with a salary of £26,314.02 - £28,609.74 pro rata.

The role involves duties across wet, dry, and other areas, including cleaning, facility control, and equipment setup and dismantling. Candidates must hold a current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

Additional Information for All Posts:

The successful candidate will be required to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Disclosure Scotland checks will be conducted.


PVG / Disclosure Scotland

Note: All roles within East Dunbartonshire Council requiring PVG/Disclosure checks are considered regulated roles under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Successful applicants will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check before employment is confirmed. The cost of the check will be deducted from the first salary, and in some cases, in installments. If employment ends before full payment, the remaining amount will be deducted from the final salary. Existing employees applying for such roles will also be subject to these checks.
