Overview
A leading, established and highly successful provider of mechanical and electrical installation services to commercial and industrial buildings seeks an experienced and commercially minded Electrical Project Manager from an M&E / Building Services electrical installation project management background to join their growth trajectory.
Please note: this appointment is primarily based in Birmingham. For the first two months you will assist with the final finishings of an exciting project in Chichester. All expenses, transport and accommodation are covered. Once finished, you will revert to a Birmingham base for more central UK projects.
Responsibilities
* Manage and deliver electrical installation projects on commercial and industrial schemes (e.g., new build industrial sheds, warehousing & distribution, military buildings, hospitals, manufacturing buildings, office blocks, data centres).
* Lead and coordinate site teams, including Site Managers, Supervisors and electrical installation engineers, and collaborate with other specialist electrical contractors.
* Engage in client meetings with professionalism and integrity, maintaining clear communication and strong project governance.
* Work with main contractors where applicable and ensure delivery to time, budget and quality targets.
* Collaborate with a Senior Project Manager and operate from a stable, safety-conscious project environment.
Qualifications & Experience
* Strong background in M&E / Building Services with direct project management and delivery experience of electrical installations and related services in commercial/industrial settings.
* Proven track record in managing and delivering schemes of significant scale (ideally up to £20M+; consideration given to related experience).
* Experience dealing with main contractors and coordinating with multiple electrical contractors and on-site teams.
Location & Travel
Based in Birmingham with initial two-month project involvement in Chichester (expenses covered). Subsequent projects across central UK.
