As part of our continued growth and focus on excellence, we are now seeking an experienced Clinical Lead/ Clinical Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager and the dedicated Nursing Team in leading our team and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
The Role
The Clinical Lead/ Clinical Deputy Manager will work closely with the Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care.
This is a dual role, combining hands-on clinical responsibilities with leadership and management duties. You will be expected to provide clinical expertise, mentor staff, support regulatory compliance, and act as a key decision-maker in the absence of the Home Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Home Manager in the overall management of the home including on call.
* Provide clinical leadership to nursing and care teams, ensuring best practice.
* Assist with recruitment, induction, supervision, and development of staff.
* Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding processes.
* Monitor and maintain compliance with CQC and organisational standards.
* Working with outside services including Safeguarding referrals and CQC.
* Supporting outside Audits and Inspections.
* Lead on audits, quality improvement initiatives, and incident management.
* Ensure safe administration of medication and evidence-based clinical care.
* Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals.
* Act as Home Manager in their absence, ensuring smooth operations.
About You
We are looking for a professional and motivated nurse leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and supporting staff development.
Essential:
* Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, or RNLD) with a valid NMC PIN.
* Previous leadership/management experience within a nursing home or healthcare setting.
* Strong knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding, and clinical governance.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work flexibly and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
* Management/leadership qualification.
* Experience in auditing, quality improvement, or service development.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
